Program Recruitment

Residents: Professional and amateur videographers living in the Township or Borough can submit videos, in DVD or VHS format. PATV also accepts raw footage in mini-DV format and will help you learn how to edit your program with IMovie software. Add your name to the Producers Club by becoming a PATV member. Check out the growing list of PATV producers by going to the menu button 'TV Schedule & Programs' and scrolling to Producers' Club.

Non-profit organizations: To widen their audience throughout the Township and Borough, non-profit organizations can use Public Access to communicate in a cost-effective manner. No postage, no paper, no folding. Non-profits can communicate valuable information of interest to Township and Borough residents by videotaping their announcements, events, and activities.

Private schools and colleges: More than 45% of students living in the Township and Borough attend private schools and colleges in this area. These schools and colleges now have access to Channel 99 to communicate with their students and parents, fans of their sports teams, and potential students and donors. They can cablecast their commencement videos, announcements, sports, student events, and lectures.

Students: Learning television production helps students organize and articulate information in a professional manner. With the permission of their parents, students residing in Lower Merion or Narberth can learn how to produce programming for the Public Access channel. They can participate in front and/or behind the camera and learn how community television educates and supports community-based programming.

Churches, synagogues, meetinghouses, and mosques: Lower Merion and Narberth neighborhoods are home to diverse religious congregations. Public Access has set aside a block of time on Saturday and Sunday to allow the many Township and Borough religious institutions to cablecast their announcements and services, in particular for ill or disabled members who cannot attend. Public Access also recruits videos of guest speakers and specials events.

Retirees: Retirees living in Lower Merion and Narberth possess a wealth of information and experience. With Public Access, they can record their history, stories, and accomplishments. They can also join the growing family of Public Access supporters to help with programming, recruitment of sponsors, and general administrative duties.
