The federal government deadline for the television industry to move from analog to digital format has been postponed from February 17 to June 12, 2009. Consumers can obtain information about the transition by visiting the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) web site.

To deal with the digital conversion, all U.S. households are eligible to request up to two coupons, worth $40 each, to be used toward the purchase of up to two digital-to-analog converter boxes. The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) will be managing the coupon program. To request your coupons, call 1-888-DTV-2009 or visit the web site.
